Welcome to another Top 5 Tuesday!! T5T is a bookish meme hosted by Bionic Book Worm each week, in which we answer a prompt that she created.

This week is all about creepy characters, in honor of Halloween. Speaking of which, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! I hope you have tons of fun, whether or not it is celebrated in your country – we don’t really celebrate it in Portugal.

I have reviews up for all of the books I’m mentioning, so if you’d like to read my thoughts on the books, just click the title! I tried my best to be spoiler free, and as vague as possible, so I would say it is safe for you to read 🙂

Let’s get right into it, shall we?

5.

Hald Sørensen from The Lost Woman by Sara Blædel

I don’t know if it’s actually the character, or the general cold atmosphere of the book, but something about when Louise talked to Hald always had me super creeped out and scared

4.

Patrick from Into the Water

I hated this guy a lot – besides being an asshole, he was also creepy and scary. If you’ve read the book, you’ll know why I’m intimidated by him!

I could also include Nickie in this list – she’s sort of a medium/witch, and she’s that typical mysterious character that knows more than they say, which not only makes me anxious to know everything, but also creeps me out. I didn’t include her because Patrick is creepier and quite scary, and I also didn’t want to repeat books.

3.

The Bone Carver from ACOMAF and ACOWAR by Sarah J. Maas

This one is self-explanatory, I mean this thing is basically death itself hahaha
However, I actually really love this character, I just can’t forget how creepy and eerie it is, so I had to include it!

2.

Headmistress Torvous from Bad Girl Gone by Temple Mathews

This one you don’t want to mess with. From the moment the book starts, there’s a cold atmosphere, but when this one comes into play, boy does it get creepy!! She’s the freaking worst, I was so afraid of her! Characters that act strange always give me the heebie-jeebies… which takes me to number 1

1.

Jude from The Devil Crept In, by Ania Ahlborn

Jude was one of the reasons I thought this book was so twisted and disturbing. As it says in the synopsis, Jude disappears and then comes back – but he’s different. And that “different” will mess you up. The way he acts throughout the book is progressively more and more creepy, and he WILL give you chills. Just you wait…

So those are my top 5 creepy characters. Are any of them in your own top 5? And have you read any of these books? Let me know in the comments!

Thank you for reading,
I’ll see you in my next post
