Hi everyone!! Welcome to another Top 5 Tuesday post. T5T is a bookish meme hosted by Shanah over at Bionic Book Worm. If you’re interested in this month’s topics, you can check them out here.

For this week, we’re talking about some books and series that we think need to have a spin-off. Now, hear me out: I don’t ever remember thinking that I would like a spin-off book or series of one that I’m reading (except for a series focused on each one of Sarah J. Maas’s characters, but that’s too obvious). This being the case, I’ve drifted a bit off this week’s T5T prompt, and I’ll be talking about books I want direct sequels to – although I’m not opposed to any spin-offs. I hope that’s okay with you!

Oh, btw you can click the titles to buy the books with free shipping from the lovely BookDepository (you already know I link to the cheapest editions).

Let’s get started…

5. Almost Midnight by Rainbow Rowell

I recently read this book, which consists of two short stories by Rainbow Rowell. Anything this woman writes is absolutely addicting, and will NEVER feel like enough. Why? Because her stories and the characters in them are absolutely amazing, and you love them so much that you want to keep reading about them for all of eternity.

If this happens with her books, imagine reading her short stories *sobs*

I have a review up for it, you can check it out here!

4. Summer trilogy by Jenny Han

(The box set is on sale for 25% off!)

This is a trilogy that I finished in a weekend. From that statement, you can tell it’s a favorite, which means I need more of it.

The thing about contemporaries, I’ve found, is they always leave you wanting more of the story, more of the characters. And, although this is a trilogy, it still didn’t feel like enough. I could honestly read about my favorite characters forever. If I could have infinite sequels to my favorite books, I would be the happiest girl alive!

3. The Inevitable Collision of Birdie & Bash by Candace Ganger

I have barely seen/heard anyone talking about this book. It’s ridiculously underrated, and I think it not only deserves more hype, but also a sequel. I love this book so much, and the more I think about it, the more I regret only giving it 4 stars… I’ll probably change that soon, though, it’s been eating at me!!

If you’re interested in my review for it, you can read it here

2. Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell

I think everyone that has read this book will agree that it needs a sequel. The ending of this book was so heartbreaking, but also very open, so anything could happen from there. AND WE DON’T KNOW WHAT HAPPENS RAINBOW PLEASE TELL US!!1!1!!

1. Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi

(Another box set on sale)

I’ve mentioned a couple times that the Shatter Me series is one of my favorites of all time. Tahereh already announced that there will be three more books in the series, which I’m SO EXCITED ABOUT!! <3 However, I would LOVE to read the series from another character’s perspective – namely Warner, of course. I’m a sucker for books from the guy’s perspective 😀

Either way, I will read anything that she writes, whether it’s part of the series or not! She’s definitely in my top 5 authors ♡

Let me know all about your own top 5 in the comments!

Thank you for reading,
I’ll see you in my next post ♡
