I saw this tag over on Holly’s blog just now, and thought it had very interesting questions, so I decided to answer it as well.

Here we go…

1. How many books are too many books in a book series?

I don’t really have a limit, it depends on the series itself. What I don’t like, however, is when authors keep dragging the series over a bunch of books just to get money

2. How do you feel about cliffhangers?

I like them if I have the next part available to me. If it’s at the end of a chapter, it’s fine because I have the next chapter. But if it’s at the end of a book, and I don’t have the next book, or there won’t be a next book, I’m not the biggest fan lol

3. Hardcopy or paperback?

I prefer to read from paperbacks, but most of the times I find the hardcover editions to be more aesthetically pleasing.

4. Favorite book?

This is not easy to answer, but I’ll have to go with A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas. I just love this book with all my heart, and I think about it all the time.

5. Your least favorite book?

Ciega a Citas by Carolina Aguirre is one of them. It was one of the first books I read, and I only gave it two stars. It’s not the worst thing ever, but it’s definitely not a good book.

6. Love triangles, yes or no?

I don’t really mind them, but they’re not my favorite thing. They have to be well-done, like the one in the Shatter Me series, for example.

7. The most recent book you just couldn’t finish?

I haven’t DNF’d many books in my life, but I did it with Paper Towns by John Green. It just was not for me lol I don’t do this often, though, I usually come back to the books I’ve put down for some reason.

8. A book you’re currently reading?

The Dinner by Herman Koch. It’s taking me FOREVER to read it. It’s so slow, it’s like you’re reading for an hour and nothing has happened yet 😩

9. Last book you recommended to someone?

I’m not sure. I don’t know many people who read, so I don’t really recommend books to anyone 🤷🏻‍♀️

10. The oldest book you’ve read? (Publication date)

The Epic of Gilgamesh. It is said to have been created over a period of roughly a millennium, from the 18th to the 7th century B.C. I read this for my Pre-Classical history class.

11. The newest book you’ve read? (Publication date)

Almost Midnight by Rainbow Rowell, published on November 2nd, 2017.

12. Favorite author?

Sarah J. Maas, Tahereh Mafi and Jenny Han are my queens. Don’t make me choose 😭

13. Buying books or borrowing books?

Definitely buying. And if you’ve been around for a while, you know I do this way too often haha

14. A book you dislike that everyone else seems to love?

John Green’s books, at least the ones I’ve (tried to) read.

15. Bookmarks or dog-ears?

I usually use bookmarks, but I dog-ear pages all the time, either because I forgot my bookmark, or because there’s a quote I want to mark but don’t have pens or sticky tabs with me.

16. A book you can always reread?

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas. I haven’t reread the whole book, but I read through my favorite parts all the time.

17. Can you read while hearing music?

Nope. I need a certain amount of silence to be able to concentrate. This is why I struggle to read in public transportation, for example. There’s always someone right next to me talking on the phone, and I can’t focus on the words in front of me because my brain automatically decides to be nosy and listen in on the conversation.

If I were to listen to music, it would have to be classical music, otherwise I’d be singing along or focusing on the lyrics!

18. One POV or multiple POV? (POV’ = Points of view)

I prefer one POV, but I do like the insight that comes with multiple POV. A good example of this is the Throne of Glass series.

19. Do you read a book in one sitting or over multiple days?

If I had it my way, I would read every book in one sitting. Unfortunately, life is a thing, and I have to do other things besides reading, so I’m rarely able to do it 😭

20. One book you read because of the cover.3dcs

I buy books based on their covers ALL THE TIME. But to give just one example, we’ll go with Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake. I haven’t finished it yet, but I plan to soon!

I hope you enjoyed finding out some bookish things about me. This tag is very fun to answer, so I’ve decided to tag some people to do it as well! 😁

I tag:

Thank you for reading,
I’ll see you in my next post ♡
