Welcome to the first TBR post of the year! If you read my latest post, you’ll know that I wanted to try something new for my TBRs in 2018. This involves you because I need your vote. Every month, I will be taking a few book titles out of my TBR jar, and I’ll add them to a poll (which you will see below). All you need to do is vote for the book you think I should read that month – and I’ll read whichever one is the winner! Sounds fun, right?

January will be a busy month for me because I have three exams coming up. This being the case, I don’t think I’ll be reading much, at least up until my last exam on the 18th. However, I still want to get some reading done, so I’m setting my TBR to three books + the book you choose. Let’s get right into it…

1. Between the Blade and the Heart by Amanda Hocking

“Valkyries have one great responsibility: to return immortals to the afterlife by slaying them. As a Valkyrie, Malin has always known that the balance of the world rests on her ability to carry out orders. But when Malin discovers that her mother spared the life of an immortal who was destined to die, her world is thrown into chaos.

Malin not only wrestles with the knowledge that her mother might not be who she thought—she’s also thrust into the path of a gorgeousblueeyedd guy named Asher who needs her help slaying the rogue immortal who destroyed his family. The balance of the world is at stake. And, as Asher competes with Malin’s ex for her love and loyalty, so is her heart.”

2. The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks & Sarah Pekkanen

“When you read this book, you will make many assumptions.
You will assume you are reading about a jealous wife and her obsession with her replacement.
You will assume you are reading about a woman about to enter a new marriage with the man she loves.
You will assume the first wife was a disaster and that the husband was well rid of her.
You will assume you know the motives, the history, the anatomy of the relationships.
Assume nothing.

Discover the next blockbuster novel of suspense, and get ready for the read of your life.”

3. Evalene’s Number by Bethany Atazadeh

“Everyone in Eden is assigned a Number, tattooed on their neck, which determines their value and place in the world.

On her Numbering Day, Evalene Vandereth anticipates joining the élite. Born in an upper-class family, she knows exactly who she is and what she is worth. Even as the needle breaks her skin, she is blissfully happy. She never considers another outcome, until it’s too late.

Now 18-year-old Evalene lives in fear, struggling with her new identity, stripped of her freedom and basic human rights. Can she escape her Number? Is anyone else asking the same question?”

All of these books were sent to me, either by the publisher or the author, so this is quite a special reading month. Thank you to St. Martin’s Press and to author Bethany Atazadeh, who is the sweetest ♡

Let’s vote, shall we?

What are you going to read in January? Do you like this format of TBR posts?

Thank you for reading,
I’ll see you in my next post ♡
