Firstly, I want to wish all of you a very happy 4th of July – preferably one that involves great food 🇺🇸❤
So here’s the big news I have for you: I have finally switched to self-hosted WordPress!! Woohooooooo 🎉🎉
I’ve been wanting to build an actual website for the longest time, but the first time around it didn’t go too well. But I didn’t give up!! I knew I wanted to try again once the semester was over, and after hours upon hours of designing and tweaking the little details, it is finally up and running ♡ I am absolutely in love with the blog and I hope you like it as well.
Here’s why I switched
- I would be running out of storage space on WordPress.com soon – they give us 3GB, but I use a lot of photography so it takes up a lot of space!
- I bought two years worth of a domain and I wasn’t using it
- It’s way cheaper than a premium WordPress plan. I found a national hosting company and they have great prices, which my broke ass really appreciates
- I can now do whatever I want and customize just about everything on my blog so, as someone who loves design, I couldn’t be happier
As for the content, it will stay the same – I’ll probably be talking about books until the day I die 😄
On another note, we hit 200 followers a couple of days ago, which is insane!! Thank you so much, your support means the world and I hope to keep improving and bringing you better content each time 😊
Here’s to a brilliant future – I hope you will stick around!
Thank you for reading,
I’ll see you in my next post ♡
